Phnom Penh៖ Phnom Penh Crown are having a sensational start to the new league season as they snatch nine points from their first three matches, scoring sixteen goals, but Orn Chanpolin insists that there’s room for improvement in his side’s attack.

Despite scoring no fewer than three goals in three consecutive matches, the Phnom Penh side have missed a number of good chances, so the Cambodia international midfielder wants the Red Singha’s attack to be more effective.

The Red Singha skipper praises his side’s defense as they are the only team not to concede goals so far in this Metfone Cambodian League campaign.

Orn Chanpolin told camsports.org: “It is a great start for us, and I am really happy about this record. Even though we scored many goals in just 3 games, we need to look at our chances during the game. We got many chances, but we couldn’t finish well.

“We have not played against top teams yet, so we cannot say that our attack is good enough. We need to improve more. Of course, our defense is better now not because of the defenders alone, but the team have done it very well as we defend together and attack together.

“It’s just the start of the league, but with the current performance I think we can be the title challenger this season, and also our goal is to be the champions.”

Orn Chanpolin’s Phnom Penh Crown welcome defending champions Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng this week as it is an opportunity for them to prove themselves if they are capable of challenging for the league title this season after missing out for four successive seasons.
