Phnom Penh៖ Mat Noron is committed to fighting for his place in the Boeung Ket starting XI as he returned to action after a long injury.
The 22-year-old left Electricite Du Cambodge to join Boeung Ket this season, but he was sidelined for almost the entire season due to a long-term injury.
The former Electricite Du Cambodge player has made two league appearances for Hao Socheat’s side as a late substitute against G.C National Police and Soltilo Angkor last week.
Boeung Ket defeated Soltilo Angkor 3-1 last week, when Mat Noron came on to replace Mat Yamin as he is thankful to get some minutes ahead of his side’s Hun Sen Cup final against Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.
Mat Noron told camsports.org: “I’m very happy to play, and it’s great we won the game. It’s really important to be on the pitch.
“The game helped me a lot. I could know and understand the team tactic better. It’s a good assessment for me to prepare our Hun Sen Cup final.
“Boeung Ket have a lot of quality local and foreign players, so it’s not easy to be a regular starter for the team. It’s a big challenge for each player in the team, but I want to fight for my place next season.”
