Phnom Penh៖ Chhuot Senteang has yet to find the net for Electricite Du Cambodge in the Metfone Cambodian League this season, and he explained his goal drought due to the lack of teamwork in front of the opponents’ goal.
The former Phnom Penh Crown academy player is happy at Electricite Du Cambodge, where he gets regular match time and great support from teammates and coach, and he has a long term plan to remain at the club.
The 21-year-old striker told camsports.org: “It’s not easy for me as a young player in the team, but the club provides me a great support.
“I know I struggle to score goals, and I believe we need to improve our teamwork in front of the opponents’ goal. We have a lot of young players, so we need more time to improve. I’m here just over a year, but it’s good to get regular games at Electricite Du Cambodge.
“I’m still young and have more time to improve, but it won’t be easy to become a top striker in the country. I don’t always try to score on my own. I like to pass the ball to my teammates, so my coach as well as my teammates always encourage me to try to shot whenever I have a chance.
“I’m grateful to the club because they have supported and given me everything, so I want to stay here for many more seasons to help them.”
