Phnom Penh៖ Matheus Souza admits he misses football, but insists that human life is above everything as the Metfone Cambodian League has been suspended due to Coronavirus pandemic.
The Soltilo Angkor striker believes it is compulsory for everyone to follow the medical advice from doctors to prevent the widespread of the disease.
Matheus Souza told camsports.org: “It’s been very difficult, and I’m living one day at a time hoping that everything will return to normal.
“Rating from 0 to 10 on how much I miss football, my score is 10. I miss going to the field and doing what I love most. My team keeps training, so I keep my shape through working at home such as training.
“I’ve never been in this situation before. I am concerned with people’s health, so in this moment we are going through a very sad and worrying time that I hope it will pass soon. I believe that things will improve.
“The world is going through a very difficult time that demands the utmost care and attention from all of us. It is important that we all follow the advice given by the World Health Organization. Protecting human life must be above all other interests. I believe that together we can fight this virus, so we need to stay at home and take care so that we can leave soon and be together again at the stadium.”
