Laos៖ Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng overcame Master7 of Laos 3-0 in the second leg of the AFC Cup play-off to snatch a 7-1 victory on aggregate and secure a spot in the group stage.

Goals from Samoeun Pidor, Privat, and Hoy Phallin saw the champions of Cambodia fly high in Laos with a massive performance that made Conor Nestor proud of.

The Svay Rieng side join Group G of the AFC Cup, where they face Ceres Negros, Than Quang Ninh, and Bali United, and Conor Nestor describes it as an opportunity for his side to test themselves.

Conor Nestor told camsports.org: “It was a very professional performance, and I’m proud of our players.

“Our objective was to reach the group stage and only now in the group games will we find out where our level is.

“It’s a great honour for me to coach these players everyday, and to take them to the group stage for the first time in the club’s history is a great moment for everyone associated with Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng.

“First game is Ceres [Negros] away – a team who showed how good they are against Port FC and FC Tokyo, and they are a side capable of winning the AFC Cup.

“We are excited about the opportunity to test ourselves against the best [teams]. We will give everything for our club, our supporters, and also for the Cambodian flag.”
