Phnom Penh៖ Mustafa Zazai reveals big aim this season after completing his transfer move to join Visakha as he signed a two-year deal with them.

The midfielder was introduced to the Metfone Cambodian League last season as he joined Phnom Penh Crown in the second round of the season, scoring seven goals in his twelve appearances for the Red Singha.

He admitted that he had a good time at the Phnom Penh side, who gave him a Metfone Cambodian League experience that he thinks will make it easy for him to settle well this season.

“To be honest, in the beginning I was not thinking that Cambodia would be an option for me for long term, but now I like it,” the Afghan told camsports.org.

“The football here is developing a lot, and also the quality of players and teams surprised me. I like the country that has good and friendly people, and Phnom Penh is a beautiful city with many activities.

“We have many quality players, and of course our target is to win the league. But it’s not only about talent and quality. You need to put a lot of effort and passion, and you need to train hard every day.

“Every game will be a tough game because everybody wants to beat us, but If we stick together as a team and have a good team spirit, then we can do it because we have the quality.

“Like I said to win the league and also the cup. I want to play International football with Visakha in the future, and for that we have to win the league. I will work hard and try my best in every training and game and try to help the young players to reach this target.

“I had a very good time at Phnom Penh Crown, and I know the league, the teams, and foreign players, so I think for this year I don’t need to adapt the league or the football.

“To all Phnom Penh Crown and their fans, I can say thank you for the time, and I really enjoyed it and wish them all the best. I am looking forward to playing against them, and I wish them a good season – maybe they can be 2nd in the league after us.”
