Cambodia U22 coach Felix Dalmas on semi-final tie with Vietnam U22: We’ll try to give a favourite team a good challenge

Manila៖ Cambodia U22 face Vietnam U22 in the semi-final of men’s football in the 2019 SEA Games, and Felix Dalmas regards Park Hang-seo’s side as a favourite team, but insists that the young KoupreyBlues are ready to give the Group A winners a tough match.
The Argentinian coach lauds his side’s hard work and commitment that see them reach the semi-final of the tournament and is hopeful to down Vietnam U22 to bring happiness to Cambodia’s supporters.
Speaking to the pre-match press conference, Felix Dalmas said: “It’s impressive with what we have done from the start. I’m happy we are through [to semi-final], now we have a big challenge for us against Vietnam. We have prepared well, and we always go into the game with the same hope and hunger.
“It’s nice to play against the team that have so much expectation and so much responsibility to win. I’m excited for tomorrow’s game. We have focused on learning and growing, so it’s a great time to grow.
“We have a certain style of football, and we have made it here [semi-final] with a certain style. Then it’s about how you do thing better. I can’t tell you [tactic], and you need to wait till tomorrow.
“It’s a tremendous work from our players. I see them sacrifice a lot. Football has a special power to bring happiness to people. We want to give happiness to our people. Hopefully, we can bring happiness to Cambodia.
“Hopefully, we can explore our talents and play a good game. In football, anything can happen, and at the beginning nobody believed we can be here [semi-final]. Vietnam have responsibility of winning, but for us we know what kind of football we want to play. Vietnam have a lot of talented player. We will try to play a good game and give the favourite team a good challenge.”
