Phnom Penh៖ Cambodia bounce back from a disappointing 5-4 defeat to Malaysia to demolish Northern Mariana Islands 9-0 in their second Group G match of the AFC U19 Championship qualifiers.

Cambodia led 6-0 at the half-time break with a great dominance for the entire first half before second-half substitute Sieng Chanthea bagged a hat-trick to help Cambodia secure a comfortable 9-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands.

Thy Lieng opened the scoring inside ten minutes from the rebound to put Cambodia ahead after Ly Mael’s early strike was denied by John Bucayo.

Few minutes later, Ly Mael doubled Cambodia’s advantage before Cambodia bagged four consecutive late goals within four minutes.

Thy Lieng got his second goal in the forty-second minute to extend Cambodia’s lead to 3-0 before Lim Pisoth scored a brace in two minutes to make it 5-0.

Cambodia were rewarded a penalty just before the interval, and Wut Tola scored from the rebound after his penalty was saved by John Bucayo.

The young KoupreyBlues kept their momentum in the second half as they created several chances, with Keo Udom’s efforts denied by John Bucayo.

Then Sieng Chanthea, who came on to replace Wut Tola with nine minutes remaining, scored a sensational hat-trick to help Cambodia snatch three points through a convincing 9-0 victory.
