Phnom Penh៖ With twenty-three Metfone Cambodian League matches down and three to go, Marie Privat is leading the race for the Golden Boot as the Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng striker has netted thirty times for the club.
The Cameroonian striker joined Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng this season and has established himself as the most prolific striker at the Svay Rieng side with his goal scoring record and assists that make their attack the most dangerous in the Metfone Cambodian League this season.
The 27-year-old has been involved in thirty-seven of Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng’s seventy-seven goals as Conor Nestor’s side are unbeaten in the league after twenty-three matches. They are also one win away from winning the title as they are eight points ahead of second-placed Visakha.
Dzarma Bata is second in the top scorer table with twenty-seven goals. The Nigerian striker joined Phnom Penh Crown from Ministry of National Defense in the second round of the season.
The former Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and Boeung Ket striker was brought in to sharpen the Red Singha’s attack following the early departure of Brazilian striker Darlan Martins.
24-goal striker Da Cruz sits in the third place above his Visakha teammate Ajayi Opeyeni, Athuheire Kipson of Naga World, and Okereke Timothy of Angkor Tiger, who score twenty goals.
Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng’s three remaining opposition teams are Ministry of National Defense (home), Asia Euro United (home), and Naga World (away), so Marie Privat knows Golden boot this season is up for the grab.
