Iran 14-0 Cambodia: a night to forget for the KoupreyBlues

Iran៖ Cambodia were humiliated as host Iran put them to the sword with a 14-0 win at the Azadi Stadium in their third Group C match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers second round.
Iran proved too strong to Cambodia as they completely dominated the match, leading 7-0 at the break before adding another seven goals in the second period, with Sardar Azmoun bagging a hat-trick, while Karim Ansarifard hit four.
Iran were in front after five minutes thanks to Ahmad Nourollahi’s stunning strike from outside the box, and six minutes later Sardar Azmoun made it 2-0 to the host.
Hossein Kanaani headed home to give Iran an easy 3-0 lead in the eighteenth minute of the play. Then Mehdi Taremi’s strike was deflected by Cambodia captain Soeuy Visal before going into the net as Iran extended their lead to 4-0.
Sardar Azmoun made it 5-0 before Karim Ansarifard scored from the free kick inside Cambodia’s box to give Iran a 6-0 lead. Just one minute before the break, Sardar Azmoun completed his hat-trick as Iran brought a 7-0 lead into the half-time break.
Cambodia were rewarded a penalty after Keo Sokpheng was fouled inside Iran’s dangerous box, but the Visakha midfielder’s penalty was saved.
Two minutes after Keo Sokpheng missed from the spot kick, Karim Ansarifard scored Iran’s eighth goal, and then Mehdi Taremi scored again to hand Iran a 9-0 lead.
Fifteen minutes into the second half, Karim Ansarifard bagged his hat-trick before Mohebi scored two quick goals to make it 12-0.
Mohammadi scored Iran’s thirteenth goal before Karim Ansarifard bagged his fourth goal to help Iran secure a comfortable 14-0 win over Cambodia.
