Phnom Penh៖ Prak Monyudom confirms that he is fit and ready to face Iran on October 10 when Cambodia play their first away match that is also their third Group C match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers second round.
The Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng midfielder, who picked up an ankle injury during his side’s 5-0 win over Kampong Cham in the Cambodian League, missed Cambodia’s first two matches of the campaign.
The KoupreyBlues secured one point from a 1-1 draw with Hong Kong in their opening Group C match before going down 1-0 to Bahrain. Prak Monyudom, however, has joined the full training with the Cambodia National Team as he is ready to play if he is selected.
Prak Monyudom told camsports.org: “My injury is now Ok, and I’m fit to play. I think I’m fit on time to face Iran in an away game. I’m ready to play.
“Everything looks good at the moment. I’m away from football for a bit long because of injury, so I’m a bit worried.
“I feel good. I have trained with my teammates, and we usually challenge on the ball. I think I have no issues or worries about my injury.
“Iran is a strong team, so it’s a good test for us. It will be a good experience to face big team, and we will be aware of our team performance against such a tough opposition team.”
