Phnom Penh: G.C National Police thrashed Kampong Cham 4-0 at the Army Stadium, with braces from Okaro Osa and Matheus Souza handing the visitors a comfortable win.

Matheus Souza, who joined G.C National Police in the second round of the Cambodian League as Shane Booysen’s replacement, has scored eleven goals in his ten appearances for the club.

The Brazilian striker is grateful for the reception he has received at G.C National Police, which he thinks helps him settle well at the club.

Matheus Souza told “We worked very well during the week, so this result was the result of the dedication of each player.

“Last week, I was happy with the hat-trick and the team performance. This week, I could help the team one more time. I am very pleased and happy with this moment as I always score and help G.C National Police. I keep dedicating myself to workout, so goals will come out naturally.

“The main reason was how they received me, the trust of my coach and all my teammates, so it’s a very happy and united group that is always available to help and advise me.

“Yes, I was very well received in Cambodia, and it would be a dream to win the title in the Cambodian League next season.”
